Dr. Suzuki joined as a Co-I, a new JST CREST project “Cognitive Feelings that Mediate Between Perception and Emotion” led by Prof. Yukie Nagai in University of Tokyo.
The project aims to elucidate the principle of cognitive feelings based on predictive processing as a unified brain theory. Cognitive feelings include senses of knowing, confidence, reality, fluency, etc. about perceptual experiences.
Suzuki’s team will examine the cognitive feeling such as a bodily sense of self, sense of reality, sense of (other) agency through psycho-physiological experiments using VR and robot setup.
