International Symposium on Predictive Brain and Cognitive Feelings

Under the auspices of the JST CREST “Cognitive Feelings that Mediate Between Perception and Emotion” project involving Keisuke Suzuki, a specially-appointed lecturer in CHAIN, we are organizing an international symposium at the University of Tokyo in 19-20 July.

Prof. Anil Seth, a world authority on consciousness research and a CREST international advisor, and Prof. Ryan Smith, who has been promoting computational research on the relationship between cognition and emotion using the free energy principle, will be invited as keynote speakers to discuss predictive information processing in the brain and cognitive We will discuss the predictive information processing of the brain and cognition and feeling. We also invite prominent researchers from Japan and abroad who are conducting diverse research in related fields as invited speakers.

There will also be poster presentations. Everyone is welcome to attend. The event is free of charge (registration required).
